Gray Squirrel

Gray Squirrel

The Gray Squirrel measures 17 to 20 inches in length and are a greyish brown with pale to white fur on their belly. They have short fur along their body and long bushy fur on the tail. While they typically live in trees outside, they often find themselves somewhere cozy to nest inside your home. Found in attics, soffits and under eaves, they build nests and can cause damage to homes. They are a part of the rodent family and can chew wiring, damage sheetrock, cause water leaks, and contaminate your home with urine and droppings. Female Gray Squirrels on average have 3-4 babies in a litter and have 1-2 litters a year for a maximum of 10 years.
