Drug Store Beetle

Drug Store Beetle

The common difference between the drug store beetle and the other of the two pantry pests, the cigarette beetle, is the noticeable grooves on the back of the Drugstore Beetle, where the Cigarette Beetle is smooth, and if identified on the side profile the Cigarette Beetle is humpbacked and the Drug Store Beetle is flattened. The antennae on the Drug Store Beetle have 3 clubbed ends, where the Cigarette Beetle is saw toothed. This Beetle feeds on similar grains, dry dog food, spices and dry plant material such as dry flowers.
