German Cockroach

German Cockroach

This roach has two parallel dark stripes behind its head. Female German Cockroaches are typically darker than the males. The German Cockroach is one of the most difficult to get rid of. This roach unlike others carries its egg capsule (Ootheca) rather than gluing or placing it for its young to hatch. The ootheca also carries on average 35 young. Other cockroaches carry far less, but the German Cockroach is capable of carrying as many as 50 in one capsule. The German poses extreme health hazards to the public. Contaminate food, transmitting disease and illness and commonly infest inside homes and businesses.
